About

Meetings deserve better.

Every meeting tool we tried was built to feed data into someone else's AI platform. We wanted something different — structured notes, search, and Ask AI that run entirely on your machine, without making you dependent on big tech to do it.

From Duet to AutoDoc

We're the same ex-Apple engineers behind Duet — a desktop app trusted by users worldwide. After years of building software people rely on every day, we kept running into the same problem: meetings generate the most important decisions in a company, but the tools for capturing them are either bad or exploitative.

AutoDoc is our take on what a meeting tool should be. Structured notes that surface what actually matters. Platform-optimized transcription and Ollama running locally — not in the cloud. Search when you need the exact phrase, Ask AI when you need the answer.

What we believe

Three principles.

Notes should
be useful.

A wall of transcript isn't a meeting note. AutoDoc organizes meetings into decisions, action items, information, discussion, and status updates — the things you'd actually write down if you had time.

Your data,
your machine.

Transcription, notes, and Ask AI run locally on your computer — Parakeet on Windows, MLX Whisper on macOS, and Ollama on both. Calendar access is optional. Analytics are opt-in. Meeting content is encrypted at rest and never sent for cloud AI processing.

Independent
by design.

We're not building on top of someone else's AI platform. AutoDoc is AGPL-licensed and doesn't lock you into any ecosystem. The code will be yours to read, audit, and contribute to.

Try it yourself.
